RIP Print Error: File failed to send file file (10054)

RIP Print Error: File failed to send file file (10054)

Issue:

When sending a job from PrintFactory RIP to a SwissQprint device, the following error appears:

Failed to send file (10054)

Cause:

This error indicates that the connection was forcibly closed - in this case, due to the output drive (usually D:) on the SwissQprint controller being full. PrintFactory was unable to send the job because there was no space available to write the file.

Solution:

  1. Check available space on the D: drive of the SwissQ controller or PC receiving the output.

  2. Delete old jobs or clear unused files from the drive to free up space. Empty Recycle Bin or Check Diskspace to ensure enough room is available.

  3. Retry sending the job from PrintFactory RIP once sufficient space is available.

✅ Tip: It’s good practice to periodically check disk space on any print controller to avoid unexpected communication errors.
