RIP Print Error: File failed to send file file (10054)
Issue:
When sending a job from PrintFactory RIP to a SwissQprint device, the following error appears:
Failed to send file (10054)
Cause:
This error indicates that the connection was forcibly closed - in this case, due to the output drive (usually D:) on the SwissQprint controller being full. PrintFactory was unable to send the job because there was no space available to write the file.
Solution:
-
Check available space on the D: drive of the SwissQ controller or PC receiving the output.
-
Delete old jobs or clear unused files from the drive to free up space. Empty Recycle Bin or Check Diskspace to ensure enough room is available.
-
Retry sending the job from PrintFactory RIP once sufficient space is available.
✅ Tip: It’s good practice to periodically check disk space on any print controller to avoid unexpected communication errors.
