Grouping RIP Queues

Grouping RIP Queues

Managing multiple queues

If you’ve got multiple queues for a printer, you can organize them into groups. This will make them easier to manage.

To create a group of queues

Proceed as follows:
  1. Select a queue in the Output to pane.
  2. Choose File > Queue > New Group.
  3. Type a name for the group and click OK.
  4. Select a queue and drag it into the group folder.

To rename a group

Proceed as follows:
  1. Do one of the following:
    • Double-click the group.
    • Select a group and choose File > Queue > Edit Group.
  2. Change the name of the group and click OK.

To delete a group

If you delete a group, all queues in that particular group will be deleted too. If you just want to remove the group, but keep the queues, you have to move the queues out of the group first. Proceed as follows:
    1.    If necessary, select the queues in the group which you wish to keep and drag them out of the group.
    2.    Select the group and choose File > Queue > Delete Group. A warning appears saying that all the queues in the group will be deleted too, even if the group does not contain any queues anymore.
    3.    Click Yes to confirm.
