HP Latex R1000/R2000 Job Flow

HP Latex R1000/R2000 Job Flow

The HP Latex R1000 and R2000 flatbed printers have their own digital front end internal print server (IPS). PrintFactory will output ripped files to the output folder specified in the RIP device options when adding the driver.
There are 2 possible connections to send files to the  Latex R1000 and R2000: Job status tracking On or Off in the driver settings in the RIP.  For each option a different setting in the IPS is required.

  1. Job Status tracking OFF
Output files are sent to a shared folder on the network.  On the IPS > Preferences:  Hotfolder needs to be ON and Target is that same output folder.  The IPS will automatically import the job in the IPS.

  2.  Job Status Tracking ON
Output files are still set up to go to that shared folder on the network, but on the IPS > Preferences:  Hotfolder needs to be OFF (as per picture below).  This is because we send a command over HTTP to find the JDF ticket in that folder and that generates the job.
