Media Size Compensation is not available for SmartWorking
Media Size Compensation
Media Size Compensation must be configured on the PC where the RIP is installed, with the target printer installed on that RIP.
SmartWorking Conflict
Media Size Compensation is not available when SmartWorking is enabled. If you see the error message below, you will need to disable SmartWorking in Layout Preferences: Navigate to the Account tab and select Company Account instead of SmartWorking.
Note: This error can also appear even when SmartWorking is already disabled. This typically occurs when the RIP is switched off. If Layout cannot detect the device on the RIP, it falls back to cloud-accessible printers (SmartWorking mode) by default. Ensure the RIP is powered on and reachable before configuring Media Size Compensation.
