Saving and Resuming an Unfinished PMM

Saving and Resuming an Unfinished PMM

The Save pmm function lets you save a partially completed PMM and continue working on it later.

The functionality of the Save Incomplete pmms has been changed in V2026.2.1
When you save and close an unfinished PMM, it now remains visible in PrintFactory Calibrator. Your completed steps and current position in the calibration process are retained.

How can I identify an unfinished PMM?

An unfinished PMM is marked with a dotted blue icon next to its name in the Mode list.
This icon indicates that the calibration process has been started but has not yet been completed.

How do I continue an unfinished PMM?

  1. Open PrintFactory Calibrator.
  2. Select the appropriate media.
  3. Locate the unfinished PMM in the Mode list.
  4. Double-click the mode.

The PMM opens at the same calibration step where you previously stopped, allowing you to continue the process.

Where are the measurements stored?

The measurements are stored in the Calibration Session folder in  C:\\users\public\printfactory\Calibration Session  (Windows) and

C:\\users\shared\printfactory\Calibration Session  (Mac)

Do I need to restart the calibration?

No. Previously completed steps are retained, so you can continue from where you left off.

When should I use Save?

Use Save… when you need to interrupt the calibration—for example, while waiting for a chart to dry, when measurements must be performed later, or when you need to close Calibrator before completing the PMM.
