True Shape Nesting (TSN) for Cloud Automation

True Shape Nesting (TSN) is now available for cloud-based automated nesting for PrintFactory Connect subscribers. To utilise TSN within your automated workflows, the following configuration requirements must be met:

1. Nesting Preset Configuration

In your Nest queue settings, navigate to the nesting presets and select a True-Shape algorithm. This ensures the engine calculates placement based on "Nest Shape" geometry.

2. Workflow Requirements: Trim & Bleed

The Trim & Bleed component must be included in your Workflow. This component generates the Nest Shape.

• Configuration: Within the Trim & Bleed component, select the Trim to contour option.
  

• Bleed Settings: Enter your required bleed amount. If no bleed is needed, set this value to zero: a Nest Shape will still be generated.
  

Important Implementation Notes

• Cut Contours: If you are generating a cut contour or mapping a spot color to a cut path, this must be performed prior to the Trim & Bleed step in your Workflow

• Double-Sided Layouts: When combining TSN with double-sided printing, the Trim & Bleed component must appear after the Double Sided or any other layout-specific steps in the Workflow sequence.
