Workflow - Routing component

Workflow has been extended with the routing component.

Available from V2026.1.0

Routing elements explained

  • Lead-in = Entry path before cutting.
  • Lead Length = Distance of the entry path.
  • Angle = Direction of entry.
  • Circular Lead = Curved entry instead of straight.
  • Lead Out = Exit path after cutting.
  • Overcut = Extra cutting beyond the contour endpoint.

Lead Types

A.  Straight Line Lead

When Straight Line Lead is selected, the tool approaches the contour in a straight line before starting the cut.

In the example shown:

  • Angle: 90°
  • Lead Length: 10 mm

The cutter starts 10 mm away from the contour and approaches it at a 90° angle.

Example

B.  Circular Lead

When Circular Lead is selected, the tool enters the contour using an arc rather than a straight line.  This ensures a smoother tool entry and less stress on the material.

The Radius setting controls the size of the arc.
