1. Setting Up PrintAgent

The HP Scitex 15000 requires the use of PrintAgent. Before proceeding, refer to this article  to ensure proper setup.

2. Identifying the Correct Driver

Once PrintAgent is installed on the HP front-end PC, you'll need to choose the appropriate driver when adding the printer to the PrintFactory RIP. Follow these steps to determine the correct driver:
  1. Locate the Media File on the HP PC:
    1.   If the media file is found at: `C:/ProgramData/HP Scitex/FB10000/Shared/RIP/substratelist.xml`, select the **HP Scitex 15000** driver.
    2.   If the media file is located at: `C:/ProgramData/HP Scitex/FB15000/Shared/RIP/RIPParameters.xml`, choose the **HP Scitex 15000 Series** driver.

3. Adding the Printer to PrintFactory RIP

  1. After identifying the correct driver:
    1. On the PrintFactory RIP PC, navigate to File > Output Device > New.
    2. Select the appropriate driver from the above choices.
    3. Enter the IP address of the HP front-end PC in the PrintAgent line.
    4. Specify the folder path where output files will be dropped on the HP PC, ensuring it aligns with the HP DFE's file pickup location.
