This guide explains how to enable job status tracking between PrintFactory RIP and Zünd Cut Center (ZCC) using PrintAgent. Once configured, job progress will be automatically communicated from ZCC to the RIP over TCP/IP, allowing you to monitor status updates in real time.
On the computer running Zünd Cut Center, download and install PrintAgent.
During installation, ensure PrintAgent is allowed through any firewall or antivirus software so it can communicate with the RIP over the network. It should do this automatically anyway as part of the installation process.
Open PrintFactory RIP.
Go to your Zünd driver settings.
Enable the option for Job Status Tracking.
Save your changes by clicking OK
Once enabled, the RIP will listen for status updates from ZCC.
On the ZCC machine, you must configure Cut Manager to export job status information in a compatible format for PrintAgent.
Open Zünd Cut Center Cut Manager
Go to Settings → Server.
Tick Automatic job info export.
Under File type, select XML.
In the Job info export files field, set the directory to:
(This is the default location — you can change it if needed, but make sure PrintAgent is configured to read from the same folder.)
Click OK or Save to apply the changes.
Your screen should look similar to this:
Once configured:
ZCC exports job info XML files into the specified directory.
PrintAgent reads these files and sends the status updates over TCP/IP to the PrintFactory RIP.
No status updates?
Check that PrintAgent is running on the ZCC machine and that the job info export folder matches in both Cut Manager and PrintAgent settings. You can check PrintAgent is running in Task Manager -> Services
Firewall issues?
Ensure TCP/IP communication is allowed between the RIP and ZCC machine.
✅ You’re all set!
With this setup, PrintFactory RIP will now automatically track your Zünd Cut Center jobs and update their statuses in real time.
